    Trap & Skeet Shoot

skeet.jpgTest your skills at one of the Valley's finest trap and skeet fields, offering a state of the art facility with fantastic views of the Sonoran Desert!

You might say, “Me, shoot a gun?!?” Absolutely! This is a fun and unique experience for both experienced and novice guests. There are over 8 million clay target shooters worldwide—many of whom had never picked up a shotgun before in their lives but chose to come back to the sport again and again! If you are unfamiliar with the sport, definitions are as follows:

    Trap
A round of trap consists of 25 targets each. A group (or “squad”) of five or fewer shooters fire at clay targets thrown from a machine in the trap house while the targets fly away at varying angles. As each shooter’s turn comes up, he or she calls, “Pull!” The puller pushes a button, which releases the clay target from the trap house.

    Skeet
A round of skeet consists of 25 targets each, and the same group format follows as with trap. The group takes turns firing at clay targets which are thrown alternately from a “high” house and a “low” house. The flight paths of the targets never change. The shooters, however, change their angle considerably as they move from one of the eight (8) stations to the next. In skeet, “doubles” can be released, in which two targets are thrown simultaneously from both houses. These targets are thrown on the shooter’s call.

    Inclusions:
  • Instruction and all necessary shooting equipment and safety gear
  • Choice of trap or skeet shooting
