Nestled among 12-million-year-old boulders in the scenic desert foothills near Scottsdale, Arizona, The Boulders Scottsdale Hotel, Resort and Golden Door® Spa has been named America's Top Resort for 14 consecutive years - and is one of the country's most prestigious resort destinations.

Imagine awakening in an adobe casita that offers an enchanting desert view of towering cacti, ancient boulders, coyote, deer and jackrabbits. Sip your morning coffee in pampered comfort and enjoy thoughtful touches such as overstuffed leather chairs, hand-hewn wood beams and an aromatic wood-burning fireplace.

Hotel Accommodations

Shaped into the dramatic desert terrain are private casitas overlooking the two spectacular golf courses of The Boulders Scottsdale Hotel, Resort & Spa. Inside, natural woods and Mexican tiles reflect the area's Southwestern spirit. Hand-hewn wood beams, and aromatic logs of juniper furnished in the fireplace create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.

For families or groups, The Boulders Scottsdale Hotel, Resort & Spa offers a choice of one, two and three-bedroom patio homes known as Pueblo Villas. Each beautifully decorated villa features plenty of room to spread out and relax, including a spacious dining area and living room, fireplace, private patio, fully-equipped kitchen, laundry facilities and garage.

Tennis
Recently hored by TENNIS Magazine as one of the top 50 tennis resorts in America, the Boulders features a first-rate tennis facility, with eight plexi-cushioned, partially sunken courts, private lessons, clinics, racquet rentals, the ball machine and 24-hour stringing and regripping services.

Walking Trails
Take a walk through the desert landscape on the nature trails to the top of the rocks for sunset views across the Valley of the Sun. Or, follow the paths around the rocks to shops at El Pedregal on the far side ofthe resort.

Shopping at El Pedregal
Adjacent to the Boulders Resort is the charming El Pedregal shopping center. El Pedregal, which means "a place with many stones", is a grand festival style marketplace that combines shopping, dining and entertainment in the colorful festive atmosphere of a Sonoran Desert oasis featuring exclusive galleries, boutiques and restaurants. The architecture of El Pedregal is reminiscent of Old Morocco, with accent colors echoing the spectacular colors of the surrounding desert wildflowers, and a dramatic sub-Saharan tent held aloft by 60-foot hand carved pine poles. The courtyard amphitheater hosts a variety of theatrical performances, concerts and other special events.
